I will start this off by being brutally honest; grey was never one of my favorite colors to wear. While I’ve owned several pieces of grey items throughout the years; I wasn’t always excited to style them.
Recently, I got a part time position at a casual luxury store called Club Monaco; a store that focuses heavily on neutral color palettes and tones. One of the colors that has been frequently displayed on the racks happens to be heather grey; a hue of grey that gives outfits this cool, sophisticated and glamorous appeal. I started to notice instantly how quickly items in heather grey would fly off the racks.
Coats, bombers, dresses, pants; would all fly off the racks faster than ever if they were in this color hue; compared to if they were in a different shade of grey. This made me think back to my own biased perception of the color grey; and I decided to look through the items I already owned again. It was there that I realized the grey clothing items that I always loved to wear were also in heather grey. I guess the love had always been there; but my awareness of it was not.
What makes customers fall in love with heather grey is its icy and glamorous touch. Heather grey is a color that looks amazing in all seasons; while also complimenting several different skin tones and shades. This captivating hue of grey strikingly stands out; which changes the dull and boring reputation that grey tends to have. Heather grey is quick and easy to style with other items in one’s wardrobe; but two color that will always take it to another level are white or silver.
