Sometimes even with the plethora of ways to style your clothes; it’s common to find yourself feeling stumped or uninspired. Instead of pushing those garments to the back of your closet; and abandoning completely this is the perfect opportunity to curate a sustainable and up-cycle them.

I had a vintage sweater that was sitting in my closet for over a year ago. I got it at the thrift store; but it wasn’t an item that I gravitated towards. I had this creative spark one day; and I envisioned the sweater being cropped; and styled with a high-waisted bottom. I have done this in the past with a few vintage sweaters that I were collecting dust in my wardrobe; so I could see my vision coming to life. I proceeded to take immediate action getting my fabric scissors and cropping the sweater; and I instantly feel in love with the final product. This one simple up-cycling hack transformed this sweater from a forgotten item; to a piece I’m destined to wear.

Simple upcycling reminds you of the power of reimagining your clothes by reinventing the wheel. It’s a creative outlet that can expand your styling skills; and change the perception of certain items in your wardrobe.
