Dusters are the layering piece that is necessary in every fashionistas wardrobe. Ranging from a variety of fabrics, prints, and colors; dusters have the power of greatly shifting and impacting an entire look. Often dramatic and long in appearance; dusters are the attention grabber; cohesively pulling an outfit together; while being the main topic of discussion.

Dusters are the oomph factor; and a wardrobe essential effortlessly communicating, “Honey, I have arrived.” The long silhouette draping over the base of your outfit; gently gliding along with every step that you take; are some of the sentiments to why people love dusters.

Styling

Styling dusters make getting dressed feel exciting due to the numerous ways you can wear them. Owning a duster means you will consistently create new ways to style the duster; making each instance feel like a new experience. Not to worry if you don’t currently own any dusters because a long button down or wrapped dress reimagined are perfect go-to options.

Dusters can be styled with a long dress that cos a complimentary match to the duster; or one that is contrasting in style. Dusters can be easily styled with blue jeans, shorts, skirts, corset tops, bralette’s, bodysuits, and long sleeve tops. It all depends on the sleeve length; and design of the duster.

Some of my favorite dusters are see-thru styles; where you can see the outfit peaking through; giving an outfit a sensual and daring appeal.

The best places to find your next duster is at a vintage or thrift store. Of course you can always find them online; but if you want a duster that is vintage, unique, made with great material, and rare in design? Check out the thrift store first.

At vintage and thrift stores you can shop for impeccable long vintage dresses; that you can transform into your next favorite duster. You can also hunt for them on popular reselling platforms, apps annd marketplaces.

Pinterest can serve as your style inspiration platform by aiding you in discovering dusters that are intriguing. If the pins lack a store link; add the images to your camera roll; or to your Pinterest board with the expectation that you will get the duster one day.

I saw a duster on Pinterest that I saved to my camera roll; and the next day I found two dusters at the thrift store. They weren’t exactly like the one I saw; but they were still iconic enough to make me smile with immense joy throughout the store.
